I thought that Scarborough was one of the few Republican talk show personalities who I could tolerate... until yesterday morning.
He was trying to downplay the importance of Obama's win.
I can only paraphrase his words. I don't want to search for the transcript because I'm exhausted.
Scarborough: (dismissive voice) Why do people go on and on about how great Obama is? People say I've never seen people so excited to vote for someone. Well, I hate to throw cold water on this thing, but..
this is when I thought that Scarborough was going to say "people had more passion for Jack Kennedy" or "Americans were crazy for Roosevelt, and according to my father, their excitement exceeded anything we're seeing here." ... you know, something along those lines.. something sane...
Let's continue his sentence.
..I remember that during 2004 people were so excited to go to the polls and vote for George W. Bush.
This statement, to me, was literally jawdroppingly stupid. Again, I have neither the energy nor the inclination to explain why it's something that perhaps only a retard might say. I will only write that when Don Imus (of all people) says that you "don't have much going on upstairs" maybe I should look at you closer.
