When I started watching Saturday Night Live regularly in the mid-'90s I eventually realized that a man named Robert Smigel wrote most of the skits and created most of the animated shorts that caused me to laugh hardest. If I had to rank my top five favorite comedians ever I would go with 1) George Carlin 2) Lewis Black 3) Robert Smigel 4) Chris Rock and (this one is fairly new to the list, but very deserving of the distinction) 5) Bill Hader.
