"Yes, please."

Before you read this article I want you to consider something that happened to me one hour ago at Jack in the Box:
I paid for my fast food. As the Mexican woman returned my credit card to me she asked,
"Ketchup?"
Me: "Yes, please."
Five seconds later...
"Ketchup?"
"YES, PLEASE."
When she handed my food to me twenty seconds later...
"Ketchup?"
At this point I didn't want to drop the "please" or say "ci" or try to explain what "yes, please" means. I simply drove away-- without the ketchup.
I thought, "Only in L.A." But it's obviously not "only in L.A." anymore.
Do I think that AZ's new law is a bit overboard? Yes. However, do I think that a moderate version of the law should be enforced throughout the nation?
YES, PLEASE!
