Fair Warning Part 2

Right now I'm looking at a schedule of great comic book conventions that range from Anaheim and San Francisco to Seattle. I don't even know why they call them "comic conventions" anymore because the emphasis is more on art-- drawings and paintings, and celebrities who appear there rather than comics. When I first started attending them during the early '90s I loved comics. Now I have only passing familiarity with them.

I might not need to remind people who attend these events regularly about this phenomenon, but to newbies this is vital:
If you want the artist or celebrity to draw or sign a piece with a specific color of ink, BRING the selected marker or pen to the event. The artists and celebs are lazy as hell; they usually have one or NO writing utensils at the event.
It's like if I were on a set and said to my actors, "did you guys bring the lights? I'm going to have to use natural lights if you didn't bring the lights."
In my opinion, the guest's job is to --at the very least-- bring a few different pens to the convention, but they NEVER DO.
