America's Generational Crisis

This article is interesting. I was particularly interested in its "stand pat" theory. How many anecdotes have you heard during the last few years about a person or people who are in their twenties to forties and were forced to move in with their parents because their parents have the lucrative jobs that they can't acquire? I heard a TON. Is this phenomenon a gathering storm in America? I know that the bulk of America's population is "older" or even elderly and they understandably don't want to relinquish the reins of power yet because the economy and the government's "safety net" is a mess. However, is it healthy to have a sort of "Supreme Court" mentality here-- a society in which younger people must wait for seniors to die on the job to have a well-paying job? Wtf?
