Addendum

Someone on one of the political blogs on which I posted my commentary about Rahm Emanuel wrote, "I guess the shelf life on Obama's Kool Aid is one year."
Well, I discarded Obama's b.s. during the first few weeks of his presidency. During early '09 I was even called "horrible dick" by horrible moron Bob Cesca because I dared to state that I thought that a black man who worked as an organizer in inner city Chicago wouldn't sell out blue collar Americans quite so fast and quite so hard regardless of some of his rhetoric. How dare I? I guess that I would be out of bounds if I believed that a north Asian who attended MIT is a good mathematician, too. I'm just a racist.
ANYWAY, how did we get to this point where Rahm Emanuel is considered the guy who is influencing everything in the Obama administration? We are told that Obama was scared by the supposed "lessons" of the Jimmy Carter administration. When Carter took office he brought in his own collection of "visionaries" and newbies to D.C. We are told that they didn't know how to get anything done-- they were clueless about how to hammer out legislation with Congress. I doubt it. Why? Carter was a governor of a medium-sized state. He was a micromanager, not a good organizer and negotiator. He micromanaged the scheduling of the White House's tennis court hours. Even when he was president he micromanaged Georgia's ecological programs. My grandfather, who was a fairly wealthy doctor, sold a huge tract of Georgia's land to his friend in the '70s for a profit. The friend was not a corporatist and had no intention of building businesses on the land. It was in the middle of nowhere in the mountains. What happened? Carter nationalized the property; my grandfather's friend recouped only a fraction of the amount that he paid for it.
Although I believe that overall Carter was underrated as a president (especially on the international stage) he was rather incompetent at dealing with national issues in D.C. OBAMA on the other hand has served in the Senate. OBAMA has a history of negotiating well with other people. OBAMA loaded his cabinet with Clinton's old whores
because he is cowardly. Sorry. There it is.
Don't expect the Democrats to gain any seats during his tenure.
