Apathy

I saw this Obama tee shirt at the San Diego comic con:

Although it was made by one of my all-time favorite comic artists (Alex Ross) I didn't buy it. I realized something: I have the same degree of apathy about this election that I had about the 2000 election.

Some people might ask, "don't you regret your apathy about the 2000 race? Don't you think in retrospect that Gore was the superior candidate?"
Yes. Gore was superior, and I was often amused during the initial stages of the Iraq colonization by morons who said, "Can you imagine if GORE were presidsnt? THANK GAWD he ain't president."

But the chimp is a once-in-a-lifetime colossal disaster. The odds that McCain is as bad as he are very slim. Some people who are familiar with American history might say, "but President James Buchanan succeeded President Franklin Pierce. They are both considered to be colossal disasters."
Hey, I like my chances anyway. Obama doesn't differ much from McCain, and although they have some similiarites with the monkey man, I think that they are both light years apart from him.
We are basically equally blessed or damned depending on your perspective.
